Privacy, in plain words.

Your guests and your money stay on your device. We do not have them, and we cannot see them.
What stays on your device
Everything you put into Good Host is saved in your own browser or phone: your homes, your guests, their answers, your notes, rent and deposits. There is no account and no server that stores any of it. We never receive a copy.
Because it lives on your device, clearing your browser data or losing your phone can remove it. In Settings, "Export a copy" saves a file you can keep, and "Import" puts it back, including on a new phone.
The guest form
A guest opens your form link and fills it in. When they tap send, their own mail app opens with their answers ready to email to you. The email goes from their account to yours. It does not pass through Good Host.
The email holds a link that adds the guest to your Good Host. The guest's answers are packed into the part of that link after the # sign, which browsers do not send to any server.
Your form link itself contains the name and city of the home, your first name and your email address, so the guest's mail app knows where to send the answers. Only share it with people you want to hear from.
What we do not do
- No tracking.
- No cookies.
- No analytics.
- No ads, and we do not sell or share information about you or your guests.
Fonts and photos
The text on this site and in the app is set in two fonts loaded from Google Fonts. When a page loads, Google's servers see an ordinary web request for those fonts. Photos are stored on our own site and credited in the footer of the home page.
Our web host
Like any website, the servers that deliver these pages can see that a page was asked for, and from what network address. We do not use that to follow or identify anyone.
Questions, or a request
Email hello@pointithere.com and a person will answer. If this page ever changes in a way that matters, we will change the date at the top.
